Un très beau jeu développé par neuf étudiants de la Ultrecht School of the Arts dans le cadre de leurs études. Le but du jeu est simple vous devez à l'aide de votre Blob peinturer la station de trains de la ville le plus rapidement possible. À l'origine développé pour une exposition le jeu se veut plus une démonstration qu'une réelle expérience ayant un début, un milieu et une fin. Donc à vous d'expérimenter! Un processeur de 2ghz et 512 de ram sont recommandés pour un bon framerate.
Ce jeu gratuit a eu tellement de succès qu'il a été adapté dans une version payante pour Wii.
De Blob is a 3D game in which the player controls a ball of paint rolling through the city. The ball can absorb coloured NPC's to become larger and change its colour. Les possesseurs d'Amiga ou d'Atari ST se souviennent forcément de Turrican, mythique jeu de plates-formes/shoot them up de Rainbow Arts. Il s'agissait de contrôler un robot à travers des niveaux peuplés d'ennemis en tous genres, avec la possibilité de tirer dans toutes les directions. Turrican était un de ces jeux immédiatement prenants et sa réalisation était (pour l'époque) un modèle du genre.
Hurrican est un nouveau remake qui entend passer au niveau supérieur, avec des graphismes entièrement refaitson retrouve l'ambiance et la jouabilité de l'original et c'est un vrai plaisir.
Cerise sur le gâteau : le jeu inclut un éditeur de niveaux et la possibilité de les héberger sur un serveur
Turrican was a cult classic on the C64 and Amiga back in the day and now the program returns on the PC in this faithful recreation. The object is to navigate a space soldier through nine challenging levels, blowing away all manner of aggressive robots, attacking plants and avoiding dangerous traps along the way.
The game plays very well, allowing you to shoot updwards as well as horizontally. Anyone who's a fan of the original like me will be pleased with this recreation as the graphics and sound are very true to the Commadore classic, although there aren't that many new additions to enjoy. If you never experienced Turrican in your youth though, then you're in for a treat.
